Gender and Health

According to NPR news, the gender of the individual administering the IQ test can influence the results. Similarly, the gender of the experimenter can drastically skew pain medication trials. This underlying issue is one about which few individuals are knowledgeable or aware. According to a young scientist interested in pursuing a career in neurology, his experiment piqued his interest. He went to Harvard Law School for a few years, and when he returned, he was disappointed since the results he was expecting were different; however, another group completed the same project as he did, and he discovered that they received the findings he was searching for. This discovery led to a plethora of experiments in which the gender of the investigator and the subject had an impact. This is something to consider while conducting or participating in any type of scientific research. This issue of gender prejudice is also present in the medical system. This is a collection of photos of my mother and me going to the doctors together to ensure that my mother is treated fairly and that the professionals ensure that she has an intelligent daughter, because when my mother went to the doctors on her own, they treated her very differently, and my mother's experiences inspired me to want to join her in her visits to ensure she gets the best results and isn't treated unfairly. My companionship offered my mother peace of mind and assurance that she was being looked after, despite the fact that English was her second language.
