Evaluation Between the Female and Male Reproductive System

Stereotypes persist in the medical industry when depicting males and females. Male reproductive physiology is assessed differently from female reproductive physiology. The productive enterprise of menstruation, for example, is considered as a failure in the female cycle. Menstruation is described as 'debris' of the uterine lining, the result of necrosis, or tissue death, in medical text. The descriptions imply that a system has failed, resulting in useless, non-specified, unsalable, waste items. One of the works that considers menstruation to be a failure of production recounts the maturation of sperm in a lyrical fashion. "The processes that control the amazing cellular metamorphosis from spermatid to mature sperm are yet unknown... One of the most astonishing aspects of spermatogenesis is its enormous scale: a normal human male can produce hundreds of millions of sperm every day." This raises the question of why male sperm production is not considered wasteful in various texts.
